Saturday (Sept 9, 2017) HRT searched the depths of The Preserve looking for and mapping the occurrence of invasive aliens. We often encourage the public to join us on these workdays so that they can experience the beauty of these hidden places. You can’t see these places from the visitor’s trails or by any other way than “joining a Habitat Restoration workday”.
The winter floods have left The Preserve lush and healthy. The rains also produced a flush of regrowth by Native Plants that have been mostly dormant during our extended drought.
Please follow our day of “looking for aliens” by reading the short titles underneath the pictures I give you to pique your interest. Mother Nature left us a lot of pretty examples of her handiwork for you to enjoy.
