Field Trips
Cosumnes River Preserve is a great place for students to gain hands-on learning experience in STEM. Many field trips are held at the Cosumnes River Preserve each year. As a part of the Education Program, we conduct Teacher Workshops that show educators how to conduct the Preserve’s hands-on activities with their students and learn information on the wildlife, habitats and Preserve history. In order to schedule and lead a field trip at Cosumnes River Preserve, educators must complete a workshop, offered every year. Once completed, educators can schedule a field trip and utilize our trails and Visitor Center, which has a number of hands-on exhibits for children, and picnic facilities for sixty students.
We recommend that all educators carry a first-aid kit and that each child bring a bottle of water. Once you have attended the workshop, field trips can be scheduled using this form.
