Miles for Migration – Coming Soon

Join the Migration

Each fall, one of nature’s most incredible journeys unfolds as thousands of Sandhill Cranes and other migratory birds arrive at the Cosumnes River Preserve along the Pacific Flyway. Through Miles for Migration, you’ll celebrate this remarkable seasonal migration by embarking on your own journey—logging miles while raising funds to help protect the wetlands, wildlife, and educational programs that make the Preserve such a special place. This challenge is about more than reaching a mileage goal. It’s about connecting with nature, improving your personal well-being, and becoming part of a community dedicated to conservation. Whether you’re participating as an individual, with your family, with friends, or as part of a team, every mile you travel and every dollar you raise helps ensure that future generations can experience the beauty and wonder of the Cosumnes River Preserve. Funds raised through Miles for Migration directly support the Friends of the Cosumnes River Preserve, the nonprofit partner dedicated to preserving and enhancing this extraordinary landscape through habitat restoration, environmental education, volunteer stewardship, and community engagement.
