A story by Joe Watson. .

Vic posted a big thank you to three folks that are keeping things together during the Covid19 Pandemic. With everyone being told to suspend normal operations and shut down, three showed up anyway.
Harry, Robin, and Greg. If you have ever volunteered with HRT, you have probably seen all of them at one time or another.
Just to make sure you will know who to thank for being “outstanding in their field”, I’m publishing their pictures here.

Harry makes sure his team works safe. Here he is personally delivering drinking water so we don’t get dehydrated. Thanks Harry.
Robin makes the long trek from the road to the worksite. You can see the vehicles about a quarter mile across this fallow field. The walk doesn’t appear to bother him a bit.
Greg mucks out the makings of a beaver dam in one of our water control devices. Without this service, we could not maintain the proper water levels in our ponds. Greg looks strange when he isn’t busy killing non native thistles.

The Habitat Restoration Team has been on this job for over 30 years. We have been battling Invasive non native plants, pollution, overly long droughts, government shutdowns, poachers, levee breaks, global warming and now a Pandemic. We are not about to give up now.
