Checklist Comments:     44F, overcast at start. Fog increased for the first hour and then it became sunny with a light breeze. 64F at the end.
Reported by Chris Conard and joined by John Trochet.
We were able to cross the channel into the main forest without too much difficulty and make our way to the river. John left before I turned to the southwest forest and through Macworld. The water in the slough at the east end where our route first meets it was relatively high, but it was lower than expected to the west, allowing the majority of the regular route to be covered. I sunk into a muddy puddle to the depth of my knee near the traditional LEOW roost. A few (presumed) variegated meadowhawks (dragonflies) were flying about.
