Volunteer Opportunity!

Would you like to learn about raptor identification?

The Cosumnes River Preserve is looking for volunteers to participate in their Spring/Summer Raptor Surveys beginning in March.

No previous experience needed. This is a great way to learn more about identifying raptors, make lasting friendships and see the areas around the Preserve. Volunteers work in teams of 3 to 4 and travel on predetermined routes identifying and counting raptors.

Volunteers need to attend a mandatory training session on February 28, 2017, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at the Preserve’s Visitor Center, located at 13501 Franklin Blvd. Galt, CA 95632.  Volunteers must be willing to dedicate (most) 2^nd and 4^th Wednesday of each month beginning March 14^th and ending September 26^th 2018.
