Join well-known Audubon Society member, Jim Rowoth, as he ventures out on the regular monthly Cosumnes River Preserve River Walk to survey birds of all species. The walk takes you through wetlands, riparian forest, grasslands, and to the Cosumnes River itself. The walk covers about four miles and at a leisurely pace, should take approximately four hours (depending on the birds), so be sure to bring a snack and liquids. All you need is a strong interest in birding (bring binoculars!) and appropriate dress/gear for rugged outdoor exploration. Expect muddy conditions this month, so rubber boots or waterproof hiking boots are recommended. Meet at the CRP Visitor Center parking area at 7:00 a.m. 13501 Franklin Boulevard, Galt CA.
All Participants must RSVP through EventBrite.
